More Information on Vocal Solos

 This class is for students ready for a more formal look at vocal production and performance. This class builds on basic skills such as healthy vocal production and building confidence on stage. Students will work in a master class type format, performing solos, duets, or small ensemble songs from a variety of genres and levels of difficulty.     All vocal solos classes are taught at    23496 S. 223rd Ct., Queen Creek, AZ   .      Vocal Solos 1 and 2 (no audition necessary)   Vocal Solos 1: ages 9-11: Wednesday’s 4:30-6:30 PM ($80/mo)  Vocal Solos 2: ages 11+: Monday’s 4:00-6:00 PM ($80/mo)     Vocal Solos 3 (audition only)   (Intermediate/Advanced) ages 11+: Monday’s 6:00-8:00 PM ($80/mo)     In vocal solos 1&2, students will:   * Sing individually, in front of others, at least two memorized songs every 9 weeks.  * Demonstrate proper breathing technique for singing.  * Demonstrate a basic knowledge of diction for singing  * Demonstrate a basic understanding of how to learn and choose a song appropriate for learning.  * Learn and apply methods to combat “stage fright.”  * Demonstrate an understanding of other techniques learned.  * Learn basic music theory, vocabulary, and how to mark music for a vocalist.     In vocal solos 3, students will:   * Sing individually, in front of others, at least two memorized songs every 9 weeks.  * Demonstrate a basic knowledge of breathing for singing.  * Demonstrate a basic knowledge of diction for singing  * Demonstrate a basic understanding of how to learn and choose a song.  * Learn and apply methods to combat “stage fright”.  * Demonstrate an understanding of other techniques learned.  * Demonstrate progress by using techniques you learn during class and from others.  * Demonstrate an elementary knowledge of how the voice works.  * Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of “vocal health.”  * Learn comprehensive music theory, reading music, vocabulary, and other marking techniques.for vocalists.
